I wish I had this material 20 years ago when I first started pastoring! The need for greater understanding about the wellbeing of ministers is crucial. If the pastor suffers, the whole church suffers. This course is a valuable resource for church staff, Bible college students, boards and elders, and seasoned ministers. Dr. Wes not only provides insight into the unique dynamics of pastoral mental health, but also provides very practical and clear solutions to implement. Short, well presented videos, easy to digest. I highly recommend.

Pastor – Clinical Psychologist – Author

Specializing in the mental health and wellbeing of ministry leaders.

Your ministry efforts are both important and needed. However, the needs of your ministry often outweigh your personal resources. Providing an enduring quality of leadership across the entire bandwidth of church and personal life is a formidable task.

With countless variables in play, a pastor’s ability to maintain a healthy life can be a challenging needle to thread. I have lived it. I have studied it. On a daily basis in clinical practice, I listen to pastors describe their complicated situations. To say the least, there is significant potential for ministry leaders to miss signals, overlook warning signs, and eventually experience burnout.

This is where I come in. I help you pursue wellbeing in your personal life and your ministry world.

Let’s Talk About Ministry Burnout: A Proven Research-based Approach to the Wellbeing of Pastors (288 pages)

Too many pastors stagger out of ministry, not because they lost their love for Jesus, but because they were suffering from clinical burnout. Sadly, by the time this level of languishing is reached, ministry leaders are often too drained and disillusioned to continue. There is a better way!

In Let’s Talk About Ministry Burnout, Dr. Wes Beavis provides research-based insight into this debilitating condition–which not only harms the pastor but also hurts the pastor’s family and church.

In this book, Dr. Wes helps you to identify the elements which can erode your leadership wellbeing. He also gives you hope for recovery if you are feeling like you are already burned out or moving towards it.

Speaking

Testimonial

Dr. Wes,

I just wanted to let you know how much I benefited from your insight on ministry burnout. I know that sounds somewhat selfish, especially since there were 149 other people in the room. It felt like you were speaking only to me. The energy, insight and wisdom that you imparted, refreshed my spirit. I felt that your time went too quickly and that we all could have spent the entire day on the subject of burnout and how to deal with it. I have pastored for more than 30yrs, it is high time someone tackles this head on, and you have done it!

Blessing to you my friend,
Pastor Chuck, NM
